About myself

I was born and raised in central Minnesota. I enjoyed Fishing and being outdoors every chance that I could. When I graduated from High School I Joined the United States Army as a Military Police Officer in 2008. In 2010 I was Deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. March 7th, 2011 I was injured while on a walking patrol on the outskirts of Kandahar City and was awarded the Purple Heart. Once returning from Afghanistan I was Sent to Seoul, South Korea to spend my last year while in the Military. Every chance that I would get while in South Korea I found myself walking around with a fly fishing rod looking for different spots to fish. upon my arrival back to the states and out of the Military I found myself at a crossroads. So I decided to go to Fly Fishing Guide School on the Big Horn River in Montana! After I completed school I came back to Washington State to attempt to guide, but at that time the state and region was seeing its worst wildfire season. I felt that I needed to help out with the fires, so I became a wildland firefighter. Once the Season was over and up until today I became a voulenteer and active board member at Soul River Inc where I help connect inner city youth and US military veterans to the outdoors.

15% of every guided trip will be donated to Soul River Inc to help get Veterans and youth into the outdoors!
